Audi Type A had 2612 cc displacement and 4 cylinders engine. Its max speed was 75 km/h at power of 22 hp.

AUDI commences its history with a German Engineer August Horch who was the founder of HORCH & CO in 1899.  His first invented car was introduced which had maximum speed of 32km/h In 1901. He had to leave his company in 1909 due to some commercial management problem and founded another company named AUDI. “AUDI is basically the Latin translation of “HORCH”. The reason behind selecting this name that he was interested to make cars of his own name. This brand name was registered in 1910. Later on, Audi got worldwide attention by winning several rallies until the beginning of first world war. August Horch again left the management in 1920 and company started its operation under AUTO UNION founded by four members HORCH,DKW, AUDI and WANDERER . The logo of the Audi represents the union of these four companies and its still used to identify the Audi cars worldwide.
